Stronger Together

Aim

The aim of the seminar is to strengthen civil society organisations representing young people in the areas of inclusive advocacy and sustainable operation.

During the programme, participants will use non-formal learning methods to deepen their knowledge of youth participation, develop their resource mobilisation and organisational skills, and learn about the opportunities offered by the EU Youth Dialogue.

The event pays special attention to involving young people from different backgrounds and presenting practical examples, such as a study trip to the municipality of Debrecen, thereby strengthening the connection with real-life advocacy.

Objectives:

  • You will gain a deeper understanding of inclusive youth participation

  • You will be able to improve your organisation's operations and resource mobilisation strategy

  • You will learn about good practices from other countries

  • You will be able to connect with decision-makers and youth policy actors

  • You will be able to actively contribute to the EU Youth Dialogue process

Activities

During the four-day international seminar, participants will take part in intensive training based on informal learning methods. The programme is structured around three main pillars: inclusive youth advocacy, civil society development and sustainable resource mobilisation.

Activities include:

  • interactive workshops (e.g. organisational SWOT analysis, action planning),

  • World Café and living library for a deeper understanding of participation,

  • simulation exercises for fundraising,

  • panel discussions and experience sharing with youth policy actors,

  • a study visit to the Debrecen City Council, where participants can learn about the practical implementation of local youth participation.

Each day of the programme ends with reflection, supporting individual learning processes and action-oriented thinking.
